Committee F: Congress 2008

Committee charge

Committee F is charged with

1) Reviewing the progress on Congress planning and schedule to date,

2) Planning for each chapter send one student and one alumnus (the 1&1 campaign)

3) Continuing the planning for the schedule of events and speakers for the Congress

4) Working for joint meetings with other regional groups

The committee will prepare a document summarizing the committee’s accomplishments, recommendations and decisions to date to share with the rest of the Council. The document should include a timeline for accomplishing the committee’s goals for the rest of the academic year.

Some Background Information

---Every four years the honor society hosts a Congress, the next one being scheduled at FermiLab for October 2-5, 2008. While the Congress is the official meeting of the honor society, traditionally it has served as an important meeting for the Society of Physics Students as well.
